Pin Grading

"A GRADE" pins. A GRADE pins may have very minor imperfections from pin to pin due to the handmade nature of the production. Examples of acceptable imperfections for A GRADEs are, but not limited to the following:
  • Light scratches, marks, scuffs on the metal or enamel. (Pins with larger metallic areas are more prone to this)
  • Small plating imperfections on the sides/backs
  • Minor screenprint errors such as misalignment
  • Tiny pores, specks, bubbles
  • Slightly low or uneven fills
  • Glitter/Swirl variation

"B Grade" pins have more noticeably flaws.

• noticeable or multiple areas of under filled enamel
• moderately scuffed enamel or metal
• multiple points of imperfections on the metal plating
• multiple air bubbles in the enamel
• missing metal lines
• missing enamel on a small portion of the pin
• noticeable off-set screen printing
• some missing screen printing
• areas of low glitter
• one unfilled area of enamel
• overfilled enamel that floods some metal lines
• some missing plating on chrome pins
• large amounts of glitter in areas where there shouldn't be
• small gouges or marks on enamel

"C Grade" These pins have major flaws but are not considered to be completely defective. This is the lowest grade I will give and still sell.

Gacha Pins

  • Gacha pins are a 'mixed bag' of grades. You are NOT guaranteed a certain grade for these pins but they will typically not be C or below.
